How to Earn

  • Bank of America Rewards American Express Cards Earn
    • 1 base point per each dollar in Net Purchases

    •  1 base Point and 0.25 bonus Points (for a total of 1.25 Points) per each dollar in Net Purchases

How to Redeem

FlexAir Rewards:

  • Begin at 15,000 Points, but have no corresponding maximum dollar value
  • Member must obtain FlexAir Rewards by redeeming Points
  • If the Points value of a FlexAir Reward exceeds the Points available, member may purchase the additional Points required to obtain the Reward by charging the cost of the points to their card and earn Points for the transaction
  • Price of the Reward will be determined at the time of redemption
  • Additional Points purchased for a FlexAir Reward are not required to be in increments of 1,000 and do not have a limit on the number members may purchase
  • A FlexAir Reward value includes all taxes and destination fees
  • FlexAir Rewards are not refundable
  • Check requirements when booking, a fee may apply

Premium Air Rewards:

  • This option is only available for Visa Signature and World MasterCard accounts
  • Premium Air Rewards both in terms of the number of Points required and a corresponding maximum dollar value ("MDV")
    • If the air reward a member wishes to obtain conforms to their specified booking terms and does not exceed the corresponding MDV, it will be considered a Premium Air Reward
      • If the dollar cost of the air reward a member wishes to obtain exceeds the MDV, they may obtain a FlexAir reward ("FlexAir Reward")
        • The amount of such fee(s) will be disclosed at the point of redemption

  • References to the 48 states include travel to the District of Columbia
  • Round-trip ticketing must be made through the WorldPoints Redemption Center, on the same U.S. carrier, and approved by the Airline Reporting Corporation
  • Unless redeeming Points for first or business-class travel, the ticket will be coach-class and the lowest fare available through the travel provider at the time of booking
  • Reservations and ticketing require at least 21 days advance notice and must include a Saturday night stay

Most international travel:

  • Stay at least 7 but no more than 30 days
    • Check requirements when booking
      • Stopovers of more than 4 hours are not permitted and there is no limit on connections
    • Actual travel dates/times are subject to availability of coach, business or first-class airfare, as applicable
      • Air Rewards are not refundable 

Auto Rental and Hotel Rewards:

  • All reservations and payments related to WorldPoints auto rental Rewards and hotel statement credit rewards must be made through the WorldPoints Redemption Center
  • Prepaid hotel and resort reservations are available at participating U.S. locations and may be made online at the site or through the WorldPoints Redemption Center
  • There are no exchanges or refunds for no-shows or unused portions of travel arrangements obtained through the program Auto and Hotel Statement Credit Rewards or points in combination with the use of the card to obtain hotel stays and car rentals
  • 5,000 Points = $50 MDV
    • For every 5,000 Points member's use, they will receive up to a $50 credit toward the cost of travel arrangements
      • Members can redeem as many as $50 credits as they choose
        • Credit will equal the MDV of the points member has used to obtain the travel arrangements, or the actual cost of the Reward
          • whichever is less
        • For example, if the cost is $225 and a cardmember has 25,000 Points available to redeem
          • they may use4 $50 credits and charge the remaining $25 to their card, or they may use 5 $50 credits
    • In the case of the latter, member accounts will not receive credit of any kind (e.g., monetary credit or Points) for unused Points
    • Points are redeemable only in increments of 5,000
      • Advance reservations of at least seven days are required and travel arrangements are subject to availability
        • If member does not use the Reward, the credit adjustment remains but Points used to obtain the Reward will not be reinstated

Car Rental Statement Credit Rewards:

  • Rent any size vehicle for any number of days with pickup and return to the same rental location within the U.S. 
  • Members present their card upon arrival and when returning the vehicle
  • When they return the vehicle, the rental agent will charge a debit transaction equal to the dollar value of the complete rental cost to the Card
  • Hotel Statement Credit Rewards Hotel Rewards are available at participating properties in the U.S.
  • No minimum stay required
  • Members present their card upon arrival and when checking out
  • When member checks out, a debit transaction equal to the total dollar value of room bill will be charged to the card by the hotel
  • Costs not covered by the Reward will be included in the debit transaction and are member's responsibility
    • (e.g., personal charges, food and beverages, additional person(s) and other optional and incidental expenses, or upgrade in room category)
      • Members earn Points for additional costs charged to the card

Prepaid Rewards:

  • Prepaid hotel and resort rewards are redeemed online by going to the site or through the WorldPoints Redemption Center
    • Members can redeem for all or a portion of their stay with their Points plus cash option
      • Prepaid rewards begin at 5,000 Points, but have no corresponding maximum dollar value
        • Bank of America will determine the specific Point redemption level based on the dollar value of each Reward
    • Cardmembers may be required to present a credit card at check-in to cover miscellaneous charges, including, but not limited to, personal charges, food and beverages, additional person(s), and other optional and or incidental expenses

Cruise-Related Rewards:

  • Members may redeem points and save on the cost of cabin accommodations or shipboard expenses
  • All reservations and payments related to WorldPoints cruise-related rewards must be made through the WorldPoints Redemption Center
  • For every 25,000 Points redeemed, cardmembers will receive a $250 discount on the cost of their shipboard cabin accommodations
  • 25,000 Points = $250 MDV
    • For every $100 of shipboard credit requested, cardmembers must redeem 10,000 Points
      • 10,000 Points = $100 MDV
  • Discount and shipboard credit rewards may not be available on all cruise lines
    • check at the time of reservation
      • Cruise-related rewards may not be used retroactively or to pay the cost of cruise deposits
        • The cruise discount will not be effective until they have tendered final payment for the travel arrangements
        • The appropriate number of points member's wish to redeem will be deducted from their total Points when they authorize the billing of the deposit for the reservation to their card
  • The amount of the discount may not exceed the total cost of their cruise arrangements
    • Miscellaneous charges, including, but not limited to beverages and meals; port charges; taxis and other ground transportation; items of a personal nature (e.g., laundry, dry cleaning, telephone, telefax, internet fees, photographs, medical services, spa services, etc.); excess baggage charges; gratuities; insurance and any other carrier amenities are not eligible for direct offset with the use of cruise-related rewards, unless such charges are included in the cost of the travel arrangements as quoted by the cruise line operator, or, if such charges are to be paid through use of member's shipboard credit portfolio
  • There are no exchanges or refunds for no-shows or unused portions of travel arrangements obtained with the use of cruise-related rewards
    • If member cancels their travel plans and cancellation fees are assessed, those fees shall be payable with member's card
      • If the cruise operator cancels a cruise a member had booked
        • all or part of the Points used in connection with the booking may be reinstated to member's points earnings at their request
          • Points which have been reinstated under these circumstances will expire in accordance with the terms of the program

Cash Rewards:

  • Redeem Points for a variety of cash rewards either at the Site or by telephoning Bank of America
    • A cash reward shall be issued for a U.S. dollar sum in the form of a check, an electronic deposit (ACH) to a checking or savings account of choice or a payment to an eligible mortgage loan
      • The redemption value for Points redeemed for cash rewards deposited into an eligible account at Bank of America ("Eligible Account") may be different than the redemption value for Points redeemed for cash reward checks or electronic deposits to another financial institution
        • Eligible Accounts are determined by FIA Card Services, N.A. and are currently defined as checking or savings accounts from Bank of America, N.A., or first or second mortgage loans serviced by Bank of America, N.A. or BAC Home Loans Servicing, LP (reverse mortgages are not eligible)
        • Current cash reward values, their respective Points requirements and Eligible Account definitions can be obtained by signing into the Site
          • A WorldPoints credit card is separate and distinct from any accounts members may have with Bank of America and its affiliates

Redemption for a Check:

  • Cash reward checks are not issued automatically; checks will be issued only upon request of the card member
  • The check is made payable to the 1 individual designated by them as the Primary Card member, i.e., the check will not be made payable to either a joint card member or an authorized user(s), if any
  • Each check is mailed to the Primary Card member's billing address via first-class U.S. mail within 14 business days of receipt of the request
  •  Requests for multiple checks are processed and mailed separately
  • Each check will be valid for 90 days from its date of issue
  • The expiration date will appear on the check
  • A check that is not presented for payment before the expiration date will be void
  • In such cases, the cash reward will then be awarded as a statement credit posting to their card within two billing cycles following the expiration date and will be applied to their account as a retail credit adjustment
  • If the card is closed before a check is drawn, or a statement credit appears, then the cash reward will be forfeited (except if the card has been reported as lost or stolen, subject to verification)
  • Receipt of a cash reward check or the appearance of a statement credit does not affect their responsibility to pay the Total Minimum Payment shown on each Statement members receive from Bank of America
  • There is no yearly limit to the number of checks members may receive

Redemption for an Electronic Deposit into a Checking or Savings Account:

  • If cardmembers redeem points for an electronic deposit to a checking or savings account, the deposit will then be sent by Bank of America to the checking or savings account member's have indicated within 15 business days
  • Electronic deposit redemption's are final once processed
  • If an electronic deposit is rejected for any reason from the date it was sent to their designated account, the deposit will be considered void and the points used to obtain the reward will be reinstated to the members card
  • If the card is closed before the points can be reinstated to the account, then the cash reward will be forfeited (except if the card has been reported as lost or stolen, subject to verification)

Redemption for Payments on a Mortgage:

  • Cardholders may redeem Points for cash rewards in the form of payments on a Bank of America, N.A. or BAC Home Loans Servicing, LP serviced mortgage loan (reverse mortgages are not eligible)
  • Payments will be applied in accordance with the terms of mortgage loan, and may be rejected in the event mortgage is not being paid as agreed
  • Payment will be sent by FIA Card Services, N.A. to the mortgage account member's indicated either electronically or by check within 3 business days of their request
    • If Bank of America, N.A. or BAC Home Loans Servicing, LP refuses to accept an electronic transfer for any reason, or the check does not clear within ninety (90) days from the date it was issued by FIA Card Services, N.A. the payment will be considered void
      • the Points used to obtain the reward will be reinstated to member's card account, and WorldPoints will notify members using the email address which members will be requested to provide at the time of redemption

Charitable Donations:

  • Redeem Points for a variety of charitable donations either at the Site or by telephoning the WorldPoints Redemption Center
    • If a member elects to have funds directed to a charitable organization, they should consult a tax advisor as to whether this qualifies as a charitable contribution

MyConcierge Rewards:

  • Redeem Points for goods and services available through the MyConcierge service
    • Points may be used as full payment to obtain a Reward through the MyConcierge service
  • If the points value of a reward through the MyConcierge service exceeds member's points available, they may pay the difference between the cost and their points available in order to obtain the reward
    • Rewards may be subject to special terms and conditions that will be disclosed when the goods and/or services are requested
      • Special terms may include the reward supplier's cancellation and refund policies
  • Bank of America will determine the specific point redemption level based on the dollar value of each reward
  • From time to time, cardmembers may receive opportunities to redeem points for services available through the MyConcierge service
  • At the time of selecting a service through the MyConcierge service, cardmembers may be eligible to redeem points toward a statement credit on their card to help offset the purchase cost of their service
  • Point values, and the corresponding statement credit, will be determined at the time of redemption
  • The credit will appear on the card billing statement within 3-5 business days after making arrangements with the MyConcierge service, and will be applied to account as a retail credit adjustment, not as a payment;
    • Member must continue to make the Total Minimum Payment shown on their billing statements
  • Any retail charges related to member's arrangements will post in accordance with the service provider's policy and their Credit Card Agreement
    • If the card is closed before the statement credit posts to account, the Reward will be forfeited
      • (except if the card has been reported as lost or stolen, subject to verification)

MyConcierge Personal Concierge Service:

  • Bank of America Rewards American Express Card members (includes cardmember, cardmember's spouse, and their dependents, under 22 years of age) are provided with access to the MyConcierge personal concierge service, for personal use only
    • Cardmembers will be asked to verify their status as a Bank of America Rewards American Express Card member whenever members' use the MyConcierge service:
      • Cardmembers should take proper precautions to keep their verification information confidential.
    • The MyConcierge service will make every reasonable effort to help with planning an occasion or taking care of personal needs, whether cardmembers are at home or on the road
    • Goods and services obtained through the MyConcierge service may be purchased, or if members may pay in full using WorldPoints Points
    • The MyConcierge services are provided by LesConcierges
      • Requests for assistance can be made at the Site or by telephoning LesConcierges 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
        • From outside the U.S., call collect to: 415.263.6031
          • Requests made through any means other than the foregoing may result in additional fees and/or charges
            • Under no circumstances may Points be used to pay additional fees or charges of any kind
